Hi Abby,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your articles and your evaluation of the issues. I see opportunities in all of these articles; however, due to the growing urgency of the issue, I believe that the coronavirus outbreak creates the biggest immediate opportunity. People are buying masks, hand sanitizer, antimicrobial wipes and just about anything else they can get to make themselves feel safer. I believe that the Destin fire story and the UF lobbyist story are great opportunities for consulting firms to provide a service. Thanks for sharing and great job.
Best regards,
Brett
Hi Abby,
ReplyDeleteYou posted some very interesting articles in your post. The most relevant for right now being the article reporting on the corona virus. These types of unprecedented health risks provide many different opportunities for business ideas. This is because people are so quick to post on social media about possible ways to avoid contraction, or to help fund those that are trying to avoid it themselves. Another way of looking at this situation is to think about many of the businesses that are negatively affected by an outbreak such as this. Tourism, food, and health industries are especially stressed during this situation. This presents opportunities to switch gears and gain market share in other industries. Great job on this assignment, Darren.
Hey Abby! It’s interesting to read how the tax increase was approved but it is now unallocated. Destin is very popular for its coastal beaches, therefore I can see how increasing public access could help the economy. However, with more tourists coming into the area , there’s also a chance it might take a negative toll on the environment. Humans are a huge cause of coastal erosion!
