I found it difficult to do this assignment, as I try to view the world in a more positive light, and tend to let things that bug me go. However, after thinking of my list the even more challenging part was trying to identify the reasons many of them exist. It is easy to recognize how they make me feel, but I don't often consider why they occur. I also recognized that there were common themes about many of them. For example, things that cost me time bug me. If I have to wait in a really long line, or something becomes delayed that is really annoying. It also shows me how much I value my time. I can see how creating solutions to the things that commonly bug people, such as long lines, could turn into a successful entrepreneurial venture. I would definitely spend money in order to obtain more of my time.
Hi Abby! Thank you for your list. One thing I related to was the delayed flights at La Guardia. I spent a night on the floor with my young family due to a delay. I share your frustration with things, people and situations that cost me time. If people realized how much their time is worth, they would be fighting (and paying) more to pull some of it back. You did a great job, especially with your "why" portion. B
ReplyDeleteAbby,
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your list of bugs, it seems as though we have many in common. I am not a very patient person and get annoyed easily when people waste my time as well. I think you did a great job with giving as much detail as possible because it really made it a vivid image as I read through them. Great job!
Hi Abby,
ReplyDeleteI liked your list of bugs. I particularly relate to the paper straw bug. Especially now with the plastic straw ban in Gainesville, paper straws have become even more prevalent. I recently saw a straw that was a plastic-like material, however it was made from plants and biodegradable. I thought that was a cool take at the plastic straw ban. I enjoyed your list of bugs and thought that I can relate to a lot of them.
Good Morning Abby, after reading your bug list and reflection, I can vouch for you. I too have the same issues and it annoys me to the fullest. Thank you for the list because now we can work towards fixing these problems that you have. Having this entrepreneurial thinking, we can think about these problems and do our best to find solutions to them. I could see how this assignment was difficult, I too had some problems thinking of particular bugs. All in all this was a profound list. I also relate to the bikes. I actually got hit by one the other day (a light tap but still noticeable). Why not use bike lanes. Hahahah. Well again good job and keep up the good work!
